When You Don’t Trust Yourself Anymore

Maybe you're still replaying every conversation and wondering whether you should stay or leave.

Or you've already left, and now you're trying to rebuild a life you never expected to have.

Or maybe it's been months, even years, and you still second-guess your instincts, your judgment, and the people you let into your life.

Different chapter, same wound: somewhere along the way, you stopped trusting yourself. More advice isn’t what you need. You need enough time and space to hear yourself again. Intensives are deep, focused therapy that give us the time to slow everything down. Instead of spending weeks circling the same questions, we stay with what matters long enough to understand what's really keeping you stuck, reconnect with your own voice, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

When weekly therapy isn't giving you enough time to untangle what's really happening beneath the surface, an intensive may be the next step.

Let's talk about where you are, what's keeping you stuck, and what support would actually help.

Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

You keep catching him in lies, or there's evidence of an affair, but leaving still feels impossible. Another voice reminds you how much time and money you've put in, how scary it would be to start over at "your age." So you stay stuck, replaying the same conversation with yourself.

You're deep in the divorce or separation, and it's harder than you expected. The decision is made, but now there's a lawyer, a custody schedule, a house to divide, and a version of yourself you barely recognize in the middle of it. You're functioning, but you're not okay, and there's no time carved out to actually process any of it.

It's been months or years since the relationship ended, and you still don't fully trust your own judgment. You second-guess your read on people. You over-explain yourself. You wonder if you're "over it" but keep noticing it show up anyway, in new relationships, at work, with your kids.

You've developed feelings for someone else, and everything feels complicated. Your current relationship feels stale, and someone else is making you feel alive, but leaving feels like too much to risk or too much to lose.

You've spent so long taking care of everyone else that you've lost touch with yourself. You know exactly what your partner needs, what your kids need, what your friends need. Ask what you want, and you go blank.

Why Weekly Therapy Isn’t Always Enough

Weekly therapy can be incredibly helpful. But when you're in the middle of a relationship crisis, a major life decision, or a long-standing pattern, it can sometimes feel like you're spending most of the session catching up before you can get to the deeper work.

By the time you've updated your therapist on what happened this week, settled into the conversation, and finally gotten to the part that really matters, the session is often over.

An intensive creates the time and space to slow down, get underneath protective patterns, and work with the parts of you that have been carrying the burden for years.

Instead of stopping just as something important begins to emerge, we can stay with it.

How Will An Intensive Help?

Gain clarity about what's keeping you stuck

Understand the fears and patterns pulling you in different directions

Reconnect with your own instincts and inner wisdom

Feel more confident and certain about your next steps

An intensive gives us the time and space to go deeper than is often possible in weekly therapy. Instead of spending months circling the same questions, we can stay with what matters most and begin uncovering the fears, patterns, and protective strategies that may be keeping you stuck.

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), a gentle and powerful therapy approach that helps us understand the different parts of you that may be pulling in opposite directions. Rather than forcing a decision, IFS helps you understand the fears, needs, and protective patterns underneath the conflict so you can move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.

Intensive Options

Every situation is different, which is why intensive therapy is customized to your specific goals, circumstances, and schedule.

Depending on your needs, intensives may include:

Half-Day Intensives (3 hours)

Full-Day Intensives (6 hours)

Multi-Session Intensive Packages spread over several days or weeks

All intensives include a personalized planning session, a customized workbook designed specifically for your situation, focused therapy time, and follow-up support to help you integrate what you've learned afterward.

Whether you're trying to decide whether to stay or leave, make sense of conflicting emotions, recover from betrayal, or reconnect with yourself, intensive therapy creates the time and space to do deeper work more efficiently than traditional weekly sessions.

The best option for you depends on your goals, timeline, and the complexity of what you're navigating. We'll discuss recommendations and package options during your Next Step Call.

Already working with a therapist?

Intensives can be used as a stand-alone service or as a complement to ongoing therapy. Many clients choose an intensive when they want focused support around a specific relationship crisis, difficult decision, betrayal, or life transition without waiting months to work through it in weekly sessions.
