HI, I’M KRISSY JOHNSON, LMFT.

I help women struggling with issues related to their work in the adult industry, romantic relationships, or a secret they don’t want to carry alone anymore break free from shame and take back their power.

YOUR’E SO MUCH MORE THAN YOUR PAST, YOUR JOB, OR YOUR SECRETS.

You are not a problem to be solved or a label to live under. You’re a whole person—with a history, an inner world, and ways of getting along that make sense in the context of your life. I see resilience, creativity, and strength in women who’ve had to navigate difficult situations on their own. And I want you to know: here, you are welcome exactly as you are.

I work with women who…

  • Feel the pressure of keeping their work in the adult industry hidden, constantly calculating what to say and what to leave out.

  • Are in relationships that leave them questioning themselves, walking on eggshells, or feeling like they can never do enough.

  • Feel exhausted from living two completely different lives, like they can’t keep it up much longer.

  • Are tangled up in an affair or feeling weighed down by a past infidelity and terrified of the fallout if the truth ever came out.

  • Are tired of secrets being used against them or as leverage in conflict.

  • Just want one place where they don’t have to lie, censor themselves, or feel alone in their struggles.

My Approach

I BELIEVE HEALING HAPPENS WHEN YOU FINALLY FEEL FREE TO BE YOURSELF.

I know how heavy it can feel to have experiences, thoughts, and feelings you can’t share, because I’ve walked through seasons of my own life that demanded the same silence. This personal understanding allows me to sit with whatever you bring to the table, without judgment and without flinching (because trust me, I really have heard and seen it all).

Together, we’ll look more closely at the stories you’ve been telling yourself and the things you’ve been afraid to say out loud. Instead of pushing you toward a particular decision or telling you what you “should” do, I’ll walk with you as you begin to see your options clearly, trust your own voice, and feel a sense of agency in the parts of your life that probably haven’t felt like yours for a long time.

THERAPY WITH ME IS

  • My clients often say, “I know you’re not my friend, but it feels like you are!”, because I prioritize our connection and genuinely care about your story, your struggles, and your hopes for the future.

  • I am sex-positive, identity-affirming, and won’t shy away from talking about “taboo” topics or the complexities of being human.

  • What you share here stays here. I don’t work with insurance because they require documentation and diagnosis, and my clients appreciate that there is no external record of what we discuss in sessions.

  • We’ll get curious about every part of who you are, even the ones that seem at odds with each other. There’s no pressure to change overnight—our main goal is to help you understand yourself and your options better.

THERAPY WITH ME IS NOT

  • There are no boxes to check or quotas to meet here. We’ll have real, down-to-earth conversations where you don’t have to be anything other than yourself. And if you’re not quite sure what that means yet, we’ll figure it out together.

  • You don’t need to justify your work, your choices, or your past. In context, it’s likely all the decisions you’ve made make perfect sense. I want to help you judge yourself less and see your story through a lens of compassion.

  • You’re one-of-a-kind, and so our process will be, too. It’s your life, and I’ll always empower you to choose how and at what pace we approach this work. I’m here to walk alongside you on this journey, not become another source of stress and “shoulds.”

  • Because you’re not broken. I won’t force you to do anything or share any more than you’re comfortable with—with me or anyone else in your life.
